I used DRL for a substantial 2 predominantly two story house extension in 2009 converting a 3 bed house onto a 4 bed house with additional facilities including an office, large breakfast kitchen, utility room, cloaks room with toilet, 3 en-suites and a master bathroom.
They were very courteous and professional during the tender period and this continued throughout the 6 month construction period with regular meetings to provide updates on progress and adhoc meetings to agree any unspecified details and unforeseen circumstances.
The extension was complex with structural steelwork usually associated with commercial projects. DRL were sympathetic to the neighbors for what can be a dirty, dusty, noisy time always maintaining a tidy site keeping disruption to a minimum.
The project was completed within program, to budget and to specification with a high standard of workmanship. I worked in the construction industry for over 40 years and have subsequently recommended DRL on numerous occasions to friends and family and would have no hesitation to use them again.

I have used D.R. Lockett and Son on three separate occasions to date. First was a front porch together with Soffit and Facia replacements as well as other maintenance. Secondly was the replacement of a conservatory with a single room extension, boiler replacement and general maintenance. Lastly and most recently a Wrap Around single storey extension with a brick built garage and full renovation of the existing house.
On each occasion the company fully engaged with my wife and me prior to commencement, to ensure that all our requirements were understood and included. Their pricing was always extremely competitive and this together with their friendly but professional liaison instilled confidence and re assurance.
The work was always completed on time and within the agreed budget. When extra work was required it was never too much trouble and the details of requirements were always confirmed.
The standard of work was to an extremely high standard, having trades people who have pride in their work is priceless. The work force is accommodating and professional, nothing is too much trouble. A great set of people with a sense of humour as well. If something was not right or if I did not like it, they would change it without question.
The organisation offers a full service of design and construction but importantly after completion the service provided to deal with problems that may arise is outstanding. A phone call and then a representative would be there when they said they would be. Brilliant. We had one minor issue which was dealt with immediately no questions. Not the norm these days.
I would recommend this company without hesitation in the knowledge that what you agree and what they say they will do. They deliver and then some.
